I understand poor.
I understand paycheck to paycheck.
I found myself with more month than money. Rent exceeded my income. I had to borrow money each month to survive. I set up a simple spreadsheet to track how much I owed.
Then I decided I wanted to know where my money was going. My borrowing fluctuated from month to month depending on what I needed- or even wanted. And I wanted to know just how much I really was borrowing each month on average to get by. So I added a section to show where I was spending the money.
For money control I added a budget section not long after that. It naturally had some flexibility since bill amounts vary and stuff I bought changed each month.
Then I asked: If I have already spent this much this month, how much can I spend on unbudgeted stuff and still have enough for the remaining bills? I needed a Predictive money system. 4 years have gone by. Predictive Money Control is the result.
Next I developed the much simple Super Simple Predictive Money Tracker. It all fits on one spreadsheet page. Not everyone wants to do a bigger more complicated system.
Finally I developed the Super Simple Profit Predictor. I wanted quick answers on how much profit I might make on different offers while taking into account expenses and taxes.
“Simply seeing income compared to spending does not give you real money control
My systems help you predict- that gives you more control
What makes the money control and money tracker systems different are that they not only tell you how much you budgeted and how much you spent, they tell you how much you can spend on extras at any moment and still have enough money to pay your bills .
1 Super Simple Predictive Money Tracker
2 Predictive Money Control
You have 2 totally separate systems you can choose from. Both have the predictive element to them.
The first one shows you where you are money wise, and has a predictive element to it if you wish to use it.
The second one is much more detailed so you can get more control over your money.
You might want to use the Super Simple Predictive Money Tracker first, then move to Predictive Money Control.
A predictive finance system for paycheck-to-paycheck people
This was made for paycheck-to-paycheck people. It is made to help people with tight money situations. It does not have the idea that you have lots of extra cash stashed somewhere.
The system allows you some free-spending money. It can help you control impulse spending, or at least know the effects of impulse spending on your finances overall.
The Goal:
Know how much I can spend and still have enough money to pay the bills
Have money left at the end of the month.
Not be living paycheck to paycheck.
Know if I can make an unexpected $1,000 payment and still be able to pay the bills.
As soon as possible have all spending covered by current income.
The Excuses:
I never make enough money
So let's see what you can change- the solution may not be as impossible as you think
I hate math
That's what this is for- it does the math for you
Money problems scare me
So let's get them under your control.
I want to spend money on stuff I want
This will predict how much money you have for those things
This will take lots of time and be difficult
Mostly you just tell it what you want to spend, what you actually spent and on what, and what you earned and from whom. At the end of the month you tell it how much money you actually have and figure out where any errors are
Besides- how much time do you waste fretting due to not knowing?
You have the option of using a super-simple system, or the more complete system.
1. The Super-Simple Predictive Money Tracker
Everything fits on one sheet.
It is self-contained.
It has a real simple budget section and a simplified spending section.
And I even snuck in the predictive element: You can enter ‘What If’ amounts, such as increased income or increased spending, and see how that will affect your finances for the rest of the month.
If you don’t want to use the bigger Predictive Money Control system, use this.
It shouldn’t take up much time. You can have an idea of where you stand with your money.
The instructions fit on the page!
The more extensive Predictive Money Control, which you may decide to use sometime, when you decide to get more control over your money, covers a number of sheets.
2. The Predictive Money Control System
It has some rules to follow, largely so the predictive element will work right.
You start by entering basic info, like bank names on one sheet.
Then you set up a budget on a separate sheet- you can change that at any time.
And you track income and spending on yet another sheet. You can see your income divided into sections, and your spending divided into sections.
On yet another sheet you can enter ‘What If’ amounts, such as possible increased income or increased spending, and see how that will affect your finances for the rest of the month. This makes this system predictive.
Everything gets boiled down to a one-page financial statement.
And then there is the keep-myself-honest sheet. Once a month you will literally count all the cash you have, and enter that into a sheet designed for this. And you will enter your bank balances and any other financial info. The program will compare these real, right now numbers, to what the program says you should have. It will tell you where there are differences. Your task will be to get everything to agree. Then you will really know where you are money-wise.
WHAT IF
What makes this finance system different is that it not only tells you how much you budgeted and how much you spent, it tells you how much you can spend on extras at any moment and still have enough money to pay your bills .
It will tell you if there is enough in the bank to cover all the planned expenses plus whatever free spending you might want to do with bank money.
It will tell you if there is enough in the wallet to cover all the planned expenses plus whatever free spending you might want to do with cash.
It will tell you if your planned income is less than your planned expenses.
This planner does not make projections beyond the current month.
Now I not only know what money comes in and goes out, and where, I can even tell how much money I have to spare so I know what extras I can and cannot buy.
Credit cards are used for budgeted, preplanned spending only.
Credit cards are not used for unbudgeted spending.
In this way new debt is not incurred just for some spur-of-the-moment purchase.
Debit cards can be used for unbudgeted spending.
Debit card unbudgeted spending uses money already budgeted for this type of spending.
With the first tracker I could say: I wrote this silly tracker. At times I have thought it was in error and found out, after wasting time doing math, it was right and my thinking of the moment was wrong.
That's when I finally started trusting what I had developed.
It took 4 years to figure out what I really wanted a tracker to do. And a lot of time to get it to do it accurately.
This version of the tracker is new. It may have some inaccuracies. It is up to you to watch for errors. I give no guarantees or warranties.
Bible verses show up on various sheets to encourage and guide
So which will you start with?
The Paycheck to Paycheck Predictive Finance Tracker.
The Paycheck to Paycheck Predictive Money Control.
With either system you will need to spend a few hours every month keeping everything up to date. And it is best to do that fairly regularly. It can be quite frustrating trying to figure out where some money went- or came from- just because you did not make note of it while it was fresh on your mind. Then the keep-myself-honest sheet will go smoothly. I speak from too much experience on this.
Everything is on your computer. The spreadsheet and your personal data. The internet is not needed. This is good for privacy.
This is an off-line system. No prying eyes, no ads, no ongoing fees to use it.

It is surprising what you can learn about possible profits just by putting in a few numbers.
Especially as you adjust the numbers.
