God WANTS Humans!
What the Angels Learned

Angels learn about the 3 types of Christians, how God interacts with each type differently and how they interact with God differently; mercies for sins; the 2 types of sin and the 1 sin that is not forgiven; God changing people to be like God; Satan’s opposition to God via false teachers; commitment; rewards; and why God trusts His followers, seeing them as victors- due to what Jesus is accomplishing. There is a big emphasis on who Jesus really is and what He is like and what He did; and another one on what love really is.

They learn that God WANTS you, God KNOWS you, God CHANGES you, God ENABLES You, and God BELIEVES in You.

Mercies n Angels

What is mercy all about? The angels want to know. It can matter to them personally. They watch us to learn about how God deals with us as we receive God’s mercies. Most important, they see Jesus on the cross, the agony He went through, the mercies He gains for us and what this means for us both in forgiveness and being changed to be like God in how we act. They see how faithful Jesus- God the Son- is to God the Father, and they see how faithful Jesus- Son of Man- is to us. They learn why humans exist and why we suffer, why we get mercies. They see how Jesus had to trust God for the mercies or Jesus would have been left with all our sins in Him and the horrible consequences of that. Seeing humans get mercies, angels get hope.

God did something big. God-big. Mercy-big. You are part of it. You have purpose. God-big purpose.

Noah's Mouse

Novel: Noah's Mouse tells his adventures on (well, off) the Ark during Noah's flood.

Strange it was, I tell you. I was the first mouse in space, I was 10 miles underground, I time traveled to your time, I flew on the back of an eagle. And oh, the water. And the ice. I almost froze to death under a mammoth. And somehow God always got me back to Noah's ark safe and sound. Longneck, he is a giraffe, you know, held the antenna wire up so I could talk to people in your time.

13 short stories. Unless I decide to talk some more. And I am a talkative mouse.

Based on actual flood events, this is mainly just fun reading.

The Carpet

The most fun in-depth theology book you will ever read. Follow Brother and Sister as they engage with talking leaves, rabbits that are chipmunks at the same time, and other friends that are part of a Carpet. They learn about God, time, the creation of the universe, Jesus, God’s mercies, being friends with God, and more.

All packed into one short story.

The story is fun. The information is deep.

I wanted a theology book covering major concepts. And I thought a novel would be a good way to present them. Then I’d present the concepts in an easier-to-understand manner than I would tend to do otherwise. And if I presented them as though a child was doing the learning, I’d keep on presenting the ideas in a simpler way. So two kids came into being, and a carpet full of living figures who would teach them.

Satan's Goals

The Big One’s goals are to clone humans, have demons inhabit the clones, kill all humans, and own the universe.

The Big One’s leading demon agonizes as the Maker uses a world-wide flood, creates languages in an instant, and a death on a cross to disrupt plans. And there are problems like the Favored Nation and the Assembly that prays for 100 years nonstop. The Maker keeps disrupting the Big One’s plans to steal the universe. And with all the vaccine craziness and Maker-hating Great Reset nonsense, we are about to see another of the Maker’s last minutes surprises that will disrupt the Big One’s plans again.

The history of these novels

I’m a writer. I write. It’s just- me. Theology, commentaries, Bible-teaching novels- I write. Writing is hard. It is frustrating. It is fun. It is my hobby. I write.

I like to teach Bible by means of novels.

I write novels two ways.

Sometimes I write a novel to explain the hard-to-grasp concepts in one of my in-depth books / journals.

The novels simplify the information. This makes learning easier and more enjoyable. When I do that I pretty much have an outline for the novel before I do anything. The flow of the textbook is the built-in outline. Figure out the point of view and the characters and off I go.

Two novels, Extra! Extra! and Mercies N Angels, exist to teach hard-to-grasp concepts in my textbooks / journals. The novels simplify the information in them. They lay out Bible truths in a fun way. This makes learning easier, and more enjoyable. For these the flow of the textbook is the built-in outline.

I had finished writing God WANTS You, an in-depth commentary on 1 John, and wanted a way to give an easy overview. So the two main characters- angels- came into being. The result was Extra! Extra!. Writing the commentary was hard work, writing the novel was fun.

I then wrote a novel for Jesus N Me, Mercies N Angels, when I finished that theology book.

At other times I don’t base a novel on another book, so I don’t already have a ready-made outline. I don’t outline these novels in advance. I write without an outline. I have no idea where the novel is headed or where it will end up. Since these novels are not based on another book I can organize them however I want and do what I want with them. These novels are really fun. I like to write my characters into corners and have to stop because I don’t have any idea how they are going to get out. By the next day I know how they get out, and into another corner they go. So I can end up with almost daily cliffhangers. I experience the cliffhanger before you do!

Two novels, Satan’s Goals and The Carpet, are stand-alone educational novels.

An idea starts popping up- I have to write a book about Satan always losing. How am I going to show that? Nope. Not interested. A week of God nudging me and the Point of View for a historical novel comes to mind. 2 months later- done! I never thought I’d write about Satan’s right hand demon struggling as Satan loses over and over. Or about God constantly winning as His prophecies always come 100% true- He is after all everywhere and everywhen at once- even 1000 years in the future. I wrote for two months. I wrote Satan’s Goals: piece-meal, then organized it chronologically. It was both fun and difficult to write. Satan has horrible goals for you and your kids. Satan’s Goals surprised me. I had no idea I would ever write anything like it. God wants you to know His better plans will prevail.

I wrote The Carpet years ago and updated it recently.

One novel just kind of snuck in there somewhere.

Noah’s Mouse started out as one short story to teach a little bit about Noah’s Flood in a fun way. Years later I wrote more stories. And more years later I added yet more. These stories were a lot of fun to write. I enjoy rereading them. Unfortunately the truths about Noah’s Flood that I intended to teach got lost in the stories.

“Hello, kids,” came a small deep voice.

Brother and Sister both jerked a bit, startled. They looked toward the voice, coming from a point two feet above the ground.

“You seem a bit confused. Do you need some guidance?”

Brother’s mouth moved but no words came out. Sister just stared, mouth wide open.

“What’s wrong?” a large owl asked. “Cat got your tongue?”

Sister grabbed hold of Brother, eyes as big as saucers. Brother stood still, mouth silently moving.

“I’m Feathers. What are your names?” Watching the kids, Feathers suddenly understood. “Oh, you’re not from around here, are you? You’ve never seen animals talk before, have you? You must be from that Other Place I’ve heard about. I dare say, you look frightened. It’s okay. God brought you here so you can learn something about Him.” Feathers was silent a moment, his unblinking eyes watching the children as he thought things through. “Okay,” he soon said. “You need to go to the House. Stay right where you are and we’ll go there right now.”

“How can we go there if we stay where we are?” Sister asked Brother.

“Here we go!” Feathers exclaimed.

The kids saw the most amazing sight. All the trees, the grass, everything just sank into the ground. Down, down, down it went. But the kids and Feathers did not go down. Then the dirt changed color. It went from dark brown to reddish orange. And up came grass, and a big house. First the roof, then the windows and the door came up out of the ground. And in the background mountains rose all around the big field they were now in.

“Here we are!” Feathers exclaimed cheerfully. “You two can go ahead into the house. Someone in there will help you.” And with that Feathers flapped his wings and flew off.

Brother took Sister’s hand. “Come on. Let’s see who is going to help us.” He led the way to the house. They stepped up onto the big porch. The door was part way open, and they could hear voices inside. Brother knocked and no one answered. The voices just went on.

“Feathers said we can go in. Maybe then someone will notice us,” Sister said, pushing the door open a bit further and yelling, “Hello?”

Still the voices just went on.

Brother stepped into the house, Sister in tow. They saw a wide hallway with beautiful wood walls and floor. Pausing a moment to take it in, Brother said, “The voices are coming out of the room to the left.” He and Sister went to the door and stepped in.

Silence. Total silence greeted them.

“Where did they go?” Sister asked.

“I don’t know.” Still holding Sister’s hand, Brother poked his head out the door into the hall. “I don’t hear them at all.”

“Where are you?” Sister called out. “We need some help. We want to go home!”

“Not so loud, Dear,” came a woman’s voice. “We are all here.”

“Where?” Sister asked.

“Look down, Dear. We’re in the window.”

Both kids looked down. They were standing on a beautiful carpet with reds and golds and blues and many other colors.

“All I see is the carpet,” Brother said, letting go of Sister’s hand as he looked all around.

“Precisely,” said the woman’s voice. “Now look at the woman in the window in the Carpet.”

Four eyes scanned the Carpet. It was easy to spot a woman in a window. Then they saw the lips move, and the voice said, “Now come, stand in front of us, so we can see you. Please, go stand in front of the dog lying on the floor.”

Brother was wondering what to make of this talking Carpet. Sister simply stepped over by the dog, followed almost immediately by Brother.

“Oh, there we are. We are so delighted to meet you. Such good looking children. Don’t you think so, Fido?”

All the kids heard was a low soft “Woof” from the picture of the dog at their feet.
